SOUTH AFRICAN AUTOMOTIVE WEEK OVERVIEW

THE South African Automotive Week is an international trade show based in Africa’s manufacturing center – Port Elizabeth. It is Africa’s automotive intellectual gathering and focuses on stimulating trade and partnership opportunities in manufacturing and the related sector.

It is endorsed and hosted by the South African industry, including the National Association for Automotive Component and Allied Manufacturers (NAACAM), National Association of Automobile Assemblers of South Africa (NAAMSA), thedti (South African government) and other key stakeholders.

Activities at the South African Automotive Week

International Trade Show
The Exhibition will consist of a key supplier / component Trade Show (Indoor) as well as a supporting OEM Trade Show and Motor Show (Indoor and outdoor). This will allow for interaction between buyers and suppliers as well as potential investors and government support agencies.

Space has also been reserved for country pavilions.


Conference
The Conference & learning programmes hosted by NAACAM and the AIDC are aimed at providing delegates with new critical insight into developments, trends, opportunities, threats as well as influences (political, social, labour, skills, technological, financial) around doing business in the automotive sector in Africa, as well as showcasing manufacturing global best practices.

Networking Dinner

A high level networking opportunity for 600 guests hosted by the South African Ministry of Trade & Industry and the South African Automotive Industry and attended by Industry and government leaders.


Site Tours
Delegates are invited to sign up for the tour and experience global tourist attractions and network with fellow delegates. Visited sites may include:
  • VW Group SA or GMSA factory tour
  • Coega Industrial Development Zone, including wind farm project
  • Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
